Wall Panel Installation

Preparation:

  • Determine the positioning of your acoustic panel on a wall. Consider treating main sound reflection points first.
  • Use a stud finder to locate wall studs. Use the included nail for a stud location and the included drywall screw for drywall location. (Concrete and other walls may require special attachments not included.)

    Installation Steps:

    1.  Mark desired position of wall panel on wall by measuring 1 1/8 inch lower from the top/center of the panel, as if already positioned on the wall.

2a.  For Wall Stud: hammer nail at marked position leaving approximately 1/4 inch of the nail exposed from the wall.

2b.  For Drywall: drill a small pilot hole at marked position. Carefully insert plastic drywall screw and tighten until flush with the wall. Insert tip of metal screw into the plastic drywall screw and then tighten until approximately 1/4 inch of the screw remains exposed from the wall.

    3.  Mount the panel by lifting in place the top/center of the panel to approximately 2 inches above the nail/screw. With the panel's backside flush with the wall, gently lower the panel straight downward until panel hooks onto the nail/screw.

    4.  Ensure panel is securely fastened to nail/screw before finished.
